Republican actor Adam Sandler gets serious in his new role – kind of.

Funny man Adam Sandler has a teamed up with Dustin Hoffman and Steve Buscemi to star in a new film with a role as a serious character – kind of.

In Sandler’s new film, The Cobbler, he plays the role of a 4th generation shoe cobbler in New York.  He’s bored with his job and ends up in a weird fantasy scenario that allows him to live the lives of his customers to get a new perspective on life.  So that sounds… interesting.  I’m all for actors trying out new types of acting and wish Adam Sandler the best.  But I’m not holding my breath that this will be the film of the year.

2paragraphs.com has more on Sandler in his new serious role.  You can get the full overview of the film from IMDB.  Or you can skip this and go straight what Sandler does best and watch his recent sequel, Grown Ups II.  It is likely a much safer bet.

Sounds interesting enough (Wonderful life spin?) that I will look forward to seeing it. Sandler’s best piece of work was serious: Reign On Me!
